Dragon Front

Dragon Front is an immersive, turn-based collectible card game developed by High Voltage Software. It is developed for both the Oculus Rift and Samsung GearVR while supporting inter-platform matchmaking.

  • Designed and implemented Conquest Mode challenges – custom AI matches with unique gameplay modifiers.

  • Reworked the tutorial system in C++ to create a more engaging onboarding experience.

  • Created Conquest Mode UI and menus using Blueprints and C++.

  • Implemented UI for the daily login reward system and the Portal matchmaking system.

Single Player: Conquest Mode

About:

Conquest Mode is a single player campaign that expands on the lore of Terrene Gall. The mode puts you at the helm of the seven great armies as they battle one another for dominance. It consists of 210 unique and thematically designed battles meant to tell the tale of the Second Great War of Terrene Gall: the war that broke the world. 

Responsibilities:

  • User-Interface/Menu Building using Blueprint and C++

  • Designing and Implementing the Challenge Matches

  • Interdisciplinary communication between designated programmer(s) and artist(s) to maintain vision

Portals

About:

Portals allow players to participate in special multiplayer matches. The player is rewarded with exclusive Champions and other hard-to-obtain units for winning a pre determined number of these matches. The portals are only open twice a day for an hour each time.

Responsibilities:

  • User-Interface and behavior of the Portal UI element within the front end menu

  • Interdisciplinary communication between designated programmer(s) and artist(s) to maintain vision

Daily Login Rewards

About:

Players are rewarded with minor or special (Anomaly) rewards based on their daily login status.

Responsibilities:

  • Built complete front end system using C++ and Blueprints

  • Developed basic UI interface
